My BNI StoryWhat lead me here is similar to what happened to Dr. Ivan Misner. I had an IT support company for 7 years. A large client usurped all my time. I steered my smaller clients go to associates until I was left with the one company. 3 years later, they hired a college kid in-house. I found myself on extended vacation. I started a sign & trophy company from scratch. I spent thousands on a mail-order & telemarketing campaign, producing nothing. One day, this lady walks into the store and invites me to a once a month networker. It was too small. A member from that group shows me the Business Association. 300 members strong. It was too large. Naida Torres heard my story and invited me to BNI. It was just right. Not only did they NOT shove a card in my face, they actually asked me what I did. I saw my business friends once a week or more, used their services, went on fishing trips, plays, concerts, golfing, bowling or even (dare I say) lunch. In my commercials, I’ve been numerous characters. I’ve sung songs, performed skits and more.
